The Clark-entry to SMClark is STILL open all day from lunch onward. It STILL requires FIVE security guards chaperoned by CDC Police....checking your trunk/backseat.
For some odd reason...Checkpoint has been decreased of traffic congestion this past month. Blame/thank that to whom? No one the fuck knows. LOL!
A building that will house 3 or 4 new bar-hopefuls is now under construction at the instep of Fields Ave, behind the McDonalds.
Construction chaos in Checkpoint beside the old “dirty-market”. Rumor has it will be yet ANOTHER Massage joint....as if Fields doesn’t ALREADY have way too many of those useless overcharging joints already. LOL!

A fucking funny sight in AC this month....This dude waltzing around SMClark lunchtime with his Barfine....dressed like a member of the GodFather cast. Fucking hilarious....I mean....with that “uniform”, one would think he would be buying his girly some expensive glasses at a nearby eyeglass shop (some have specs running $300 USD plus) rather than at the “cheapy” counter selling 300php sunglasses. LOL! I practically pissed in my pantaloons when I saw those pics. LOL!

Their big bus is finally repaired (after its accident) and is back in running.

Electric Blue:
Beside “Happy Aussie Rock Bar”. Same Perimeter reno/redo a bar routine.

Shanno’s Pub:
Sold. The Orchid boys finally got sick of try to make the place work....just when they finally got the food right. LOL! Oh well....the new “bridge-buyers” are gonna convert the billiards area to...yup...you guessed it....gambling tables.....ya...you know....those same toys that have failed elsewhere on Fields Ave. Some bridge-buyers never learn. LOL! It will be closed for renos for two weeks, starting Holy Week.

Casi Cielo:
New “BJ-Bar” open behind the Orchid Inn...in the same drag as the “Duke of York”. Apparently they have the outright BEST “relaxing” rooms amongst all the bars in that genre. Their inventory of girls is MIGHTY scarce and dismal.

Tender Touch:
Now called; “Stunners”. Good luck finding any of those there. LOL! Same shit as before.

Golden Nile:
New slots installed...AGAIN....by the same guy who was forced to surrender on the same machines in Blue Nile/Blue Nile Executive/Neros. Fuck me! Some folk are just too stubborn to learn. LOL!

Viper Room:

Yup! Guess what? Another rename/reno. Another dead/reborn attempt at opening a bar....by the La Pasha folks. LOL! Best of luck to them. Really. LOL! Its gonna be called; “Passion”. Ya right!

On another note, the Dollhouse Group has now began renovating the ‘ol ChickNRibs Restaurant beside Blue Nile, to built a new smaller megabar there. New investor in the grasp of the Taiwanese owner.

Silly Hat Bar: Formerly Studebakers/Formerly Callilac Jack’s:
Open for business. Doing quite fair, actually. Good location...considering the expat clientele and zero parking. LOL! Got 25 dancers actually. Some even not that bad....most recycles from other bars.

Roy’s Pub.
New reno, same shithole, different owners. Whoopee!

Happy Rock: (Formerly “Goodtimes Bar”)
The doorgirls are looking a tad better than before. Who knows? Surprise surprise! LOL!

Villa Modesto:
Finishing up the exterior final touches now.

Patio V (5):

The apartelle beside the VFW was on the selling block recently. It was just bought and finallized by the same folks that own the "Donald Paul Apartelle".

For now, the same staff as before...except for them importing their own secretary to the office there.

A re-something is planned. The old furniture is already out front in midst of being replaced.

The prices are abit on the high side of the ladder, and the food is actually quite decent. The service om the cute lone waitress is pristine. Perhaps the best customer-attentiveness in any eatery in AC. The food comes fresh and relatively quick.

Their Croquettas are a creative mix of tuna, chicken and Chorizo..crispy.non-greasy crust...with tender silky interior.for a steep 165php.

Their Paellas are generous in size, although abit scarce on the meat/seafood. For a whopping 295php, I personally prefer my Paella abit more moist and garlicky.
Their Lengueta (ox-tongue) is braised quite nicely, but is still priced high at 315php.
The Solomilo (pork tenderloin) is perfect...not overcooked and conservative in it's flavoring....for 325php.
The seafood is also cooked nicely and hosts a pleasant taste. The items range in the 295 - 425php range.
The Sopa de Mariscos (seafood soup) is lame on it's seafood content for 105php.
I agree, based on both fact and knowledge, that with their current price structure its gonna take something special for them to survive.

Tequila Reef Cantina:
Not open yet. A lot of hooplah happening in anticipation of that one. Good location. Let’s hope they get it right and don’t screw the fuck up like most other eateries in town. LOL!

Wishbone’s: (A. Surla Street...”Hygene Street”)

A tiny little outdoor eatery...right beside Hygene. Food is blah! Scenery is “interesting” during Hygene hours.
There is a Carinderia across and down the street from Hygene...beside John Paul Apartelle. A prime hangout for off-work “goils”.

Shinbi Restaurant: (Friendship Highway)

Another one bites the dust...this time the biggest Korean Restaurant in AC.

Started at first with an ok 500php buffet with seafood. It did quite well before the owner got greedy. LOL! He then omitted the buffet, spent a small fortune converting the place into private "geisha-astyle" dining cubicle/rooms.

He was warned that wouldn't work in AC...especially with the onslaught of no-nonsense Korean restaurants hopping up all over the Friendship are and in AC in general. (There has got to be at least almost a dozen in the Friendship Hwy area alone.)

He was too stubborn to listen. He is now belly-up and shut-down. LOL!
